My name is John Morello and I'm from Trumbull, Connecticut. I'm currently a sophomore in the Robert H. Smith School of Business as an undecided business major and I'm in the "Media, Self, and Society" College Park Scholars program. I see myself eventually declaring as a finance or marketing major, and I've also long been interested in journalism which is why I chose the Media program. So far, I have enjoyed listening to the several guest speakers and UMD alumni in my Scholars classes and I love hearing inside perspectives from people in the media industry. Over the next few semesters, I hope to expand my general knowledge on journalism, improve my writing skills, as well as gain experience in different academic fields. While being completely online to begin college is obviously not desired, I look forward to my continued education at the University of Maryland and I am excited for what the College Park Scholars program has in store for me.
